Earlier this month PUBG MOBILE launched its Halloween event, and now it’s coming the game’s Lite version.
PUBG MOBILE Lite is essentially the same game as the standard mobile title. There are a few differences but they’re fairly minor. The one major change is that the game was designed to work on low-end devices.
It comes with less strict hardware requirements, and it fits in a smaller install package. It’s the epitome of what a Lite version should be. Starting this week, players of PUBG MOBILE Lite can participate in all the Halloweeks fun they desire.
PUBG MOBILE Lite Halloween event begins October 25
Starting this week doesn’t mean the last hour of the last day of the week. The Halloween event will being tomorrow, October 25.
Tencent doesn’t mention an exact time of day, but players may as well look for the content update as early as possible to get a jump start. The Halloweeks event will have loads of stuff for players, including the new Survive Till Dawn mode that was revamped for the release on PUBG MOBILE.
During this mode, players will have to survive for a total of three days and two nights. All the while they’ll need to outlast Pumpkin zombies that will constantly be attacking.
Other new features have been added in this content update as well. Many of which players will no doubt find to be a welcome inclusion.
Open character system, new weapons & more have been added
One of the new features that’s been added to the game is the open character system. This is tied directly to the Survive Till Dawn mode. In it players now have the opportunity to play as Victor, a new character, which comes with some unique bonuses.
Bonuses like quicker reload times when using an SMG. Victor can also be used to gain experience and open crates. In addition to the open character system there are some new weapons in the game as well.
In total there are three new weapons to acquire, all of which can be found and picked up in the Survive Till Dawn mode. The new weapons are the Sawed Off 12 Gauge Shotgun, the M134 Minigun, and the Flamethower.
the Sawed Off as a new weapon will be available in any mode, so it’s likely sticking around for good. The minigun and flamethower however are only available in the Survive Till Dawn mode. To get these, you will need to kill zombies.
This content update also adds a new video reward system for players, including daily logins, and a new Halloween theme for the main menu. Because why not? It’s spooky season.
