Bad North is an upcoming roguelite strategy game that features real-time tactics, and it’s coming to Android this month.
The game’s publisher, Raw Fury, has announced that the game will be launching on October 15. You can also pre-register for Bad North on Google Play right now.
In Bad North, your goal is to defend your island village from viking invaders. Things get more interesting as you aren’t just defending one island village. You’re defending multiple island villages. Each island is also procedurally generated so things get a bit more challenging.
More roguelite action in Bad North Jotunn Edition
Gamers on Android are being treated to Bad North Jotunn Edition which comes with extra content. You’re still getting the base game, but you’re getting a lot of other stuff too.
Some of the more key inclusions of the Jotunn Edition are new, more challenging enemies. There’s also a new harder mode if you find things aren’t quite difficult enough.
You’ll also find new unlockable items and extra commander traits that may be able to help you turn the tide in a challenging battle.
The game will probably be premium
Raw Fury hasn’t mentioned any sort of pricing model for the game on mobile devices. However it will probably be a premium.
Bad North is already available on various platforms, such as Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. On steam it costs $14.99, and while the cost probably won’t be that high on Android, it will likely be within that range.
The fact that it may be less than it is on Steam and come with the Jotunn Edition content also makes it even more of a steal. So if you enjoy these types of strategy games it’s definitely recommended to grab this one.
This is a roguelite, so that means tread carefully
Roguelite games are meant to be more of a challenge. They do this by essentially making you lose things. In Bad North, if a commander or someone in the battle dies, you don’t get them back. They cannot respawn.
This will make the battles infinitely harder. So it’s in your best interest to plan out your strategies and only go into battles where you feel confident you can win with little to no damage or loss. If you lose all of your stuff and all of your commanders and so on, it’s game over and you have to restart.
If you want to give Bad North a try, you only have to wait a couple of weeks for it to hit mobile devices. In the meantime you can pre-register through the Google Play button below.
