Nobody expected a new Xiaomi Mi Note 10 device to launch this year. The company’s executive made it clear that won’t happen, he let everyone know earlier this year. Well, it seems like Xiaomi will not launch one, but two Mi Note 10 series devices.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro got certified in Thailand. Both phones surfaced at Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). This info has been shared by Sudhanshu Ambhore.
These devices got certified in Russia as well
According to reports, both devices have also been certified in Russia, by EEC. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 comes with a model number ‘M1910F4G’. The Mi Note 10 Pro, on the other hand, features the ‘M1910F4S’ model number.
This is all the info that we have on these two phones thus far. We do not know if they will be mid-range, or high-end devices.
It’s usually easy to guess, but Xiaomi had released both flagship and mid-range phones in the past, as part of the Mi Note series. Considering that the company already has two flagship smartphones series in the market, it’s more likely these two phones will be mid-range devices.
We also do not know when exactly will these two phones arrive. They are expected to launch before the end of the year, but we do not know when exactly. It is worth noting that some rumors suggested that both of them will appear before the end of this month.
If that ends up happening, October 29 may be the date, which means we’re only a day away from the launch. Take that with a grain of salt, as no official info got shared, and we’re only basing this based on Xiaomi’s previous launches. The company usually releases its products on Tuesdays, but it also usually confirms launch events. In other words, it’s more likely we’ll have to wait until November or December for the two phones to arrive.
The last Mi Note-branded phones launched back in 2017
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 was the last Mi Note series device to arrive. That phone launched back in September 2017, and it was a mid-range smartphone.
Devices before it, however, the Mi Note and Mi Note 2 series, were all flagship-grade phones. So, as you can see, it’s not easy to predict where will the Mi Note 10 sit.
Xiaomi, for some reason, opted to skip quite a few numbers along the way. That is probably because it wants to brings its subbrands on the same level.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 is expected to arrive next year, so the Mi Note 10 will look like it belongs next to it. This could very well be the company’s new mid-range smartphone lineup.
If the device will arrive in November or December, we’re expecting to see some new leaks, other than a retail box that surfaced recently. In any case, stay tuned.
