A YouTube channel that had leaked the Google Pixel 4, is now putting the device up for sale. And before you ask, it’s not cheap. It’ll cost you around $1200 USD.
It’s happening on the Malaysian auction site, Shopee. These devices have been used in a few YouTube “hands on” videos of the Pixel 4 in recent months, and now it looks like those YouTubers are finished with them, and now attempting to sell them. One of the sellers appears to be either the owner or work for one of the YouTube channels that posted in-depth videos of the Pixel 4.
This isn’t the first time that this has happened, and it definitely won’t be the last.
Never buy a smartphone from a shady site like Shopee
Especially if it is before the device has actually been announced.
These demo units that are on sale over on Shopee are likely not the final version of the Pixel 4. But an earlier prototype. While it is likely going to look pretty similar, it likely won’t have the same software and could even have some tweaks to the hardware. This is pretty common in the development phase.
Not to mention the fact that these demo units usually sell for a lot more than the actual device will sell for when it goes on sale later this month.
Pixel fans might be intrigued enough to pick up the Pixel 4 now, from a site like Shopee and pay a lot more than they should. But they should refrain from doing that. As it can be very dangerous.
This listing does tell us more about the Pixel 4, believe it or not
Just when we thought we knew everything there was to know about the Pixel 4, this listing actually tells us a bit more.
Firstly, the Pixel 4 will support up to 40W fast charging, but the charger in the box may not support 40W speeds.
It also comes with a headphone dongle, which means the Pixel 4 likely will as well. That’s not really news, as Google ditched the headphone jack back with the first Pixel. But with many smartphone makers removing the dongle from the box, it is news that it is still in the box.
We do also get to see a few pictures of the Pixel 4 next to the iPhone 11, and the camera module seems to be about the same size. But the Pixel 4 didn’t give the camera bump it’s own bump.
The Google Pixel 4 is going to be unveiled in just about two weeks time. So now’s a good time for some YouTube channels to put their Google Pixel 4 demo units on sale.
