The Samsung Galaxy S11 5G just got certified in China. The device surfaced on the 3C authority in China, which is an official certification body in the country. It is different than TENAA, though, as 3C authority reveals battery-related information.
That was the case this time around as well. Before we get to it, though, it is worth saying that the Samsung SM-G9860 got certified, which is supposed to be a 5G variant of the Galaxy S11.
The Samsung Galaxy S11 5G got certified with 25W charging
The certification listing reveals that the Galaxy S11 5G will support 25W charging. This listing also confirms that 5G connectivity will be supported as well, though that’s expected considering this is a 5G variant of the device.
This does not necessarily mean that the phone will be limited to 25W charging. You may be able to utilize 45W charging if you purchase a separate charger, like with the Note 10 series. We’re still not sure, though, Samsung may have limited the S11 to 25W, we’ll have to wait and see.
This certification does confirm that the phone will ship with a 25W charger, and support 25W charging for sure. So you’ll get really decent fast charging on the phone, same as on the Galaxy Note 10 phones.
The Galaxy S11 will also support wireless charging, and quite probably reverse wireless charging as well. Unfortunately, none of that info is mentioned in this certification. So, we don’t really know how fast those charging options will be.
The Galaxy S11 rumors have been all over the place in the last couple of weeks. The Galaxy S11 series is not expected to arrive until February, and yet we’ve seen quite a few info already.
The phone is expected to ship with a new 108-megapixel camera
The Galaxy S11 is expected to include a new 108-megapixel camera on the back, according to rumors. The device is actually expected to feature a periscope-style camera setup, and offer 5x optical zoom.
This information more or less got confirmed when Samsung trademarked ‘Space Zoom’ name. That name is related to the Galaxy S11 camera, almost certainly, and it hints at great zooming capabilities.
The Galaxy S11 will be made out of metal and glass, and will sport a centered display camera hole. That hole will be smaller than the one on the Galaxy Note 10 series, though.
The phone will be made out of metal and glass, and include in in-display fingerprint scanner. Android 10 will come pre-installed on the device, along with Samsung’s One UI skin.
Samsung is expected to announce at least three different variants of the Galaxy S11. Those models will probably be called the Galaxy S11e, S11, and S11+. All of them are expected to arrive with 4G support, and most of them will arrive in 5G variants as well, if not all of them.
