Samsung has released a third Android 10-based One UI 2.0 beta for the Galaxy S10 series. The new update, which is now available in the UK, South Korea, India, and a few other countries, comes with the build number ZSK3. It fixes a slew of bugs from the previous releases and brings performance enhancements to the Galaxy S10 phones. Hopefully, it isn’t accompanied by any critical issue this time around. The previous beta update caused some of the Galaxy S10 units to stop accepting the PIN, password, or pattern, completely locking users out.
The latest beta update weighs in at around 560MB for the Galaxy S10e. The download size may vary according to device and region, though. Note that this is the third beta update for users in Germany, South Korea, and the US only. For the rest of the markets, it’s the second one.
Third Galaxy S10 Android 10 beta released
Beta software usually contains bugs, some known, some unknown, and the One UI 2.0 beta for the Galaxy S10 is no exception. The previous two releases contained several bugs and Samsung has fixed most of them with this third beta release. Below is the changelog that accompanies this update.
In addition to these bug fixes and feature enhancements, Samsung also notes that Samsung DeX on PC is no longer supported by this software, at least not the version currently available. The company promises to release a new Android 10-compatible version of Samsung DeX in the coming days but doesn’t give an exact timeframe.
The third One UI 2.0 beta also sees Samsung replace Bixby Home with Samsung Daily. For the uninitiated, Samsung Daily is the new content discovery platform on Samsung devices. The initial look, however, suggests it to be just a Bixby Home rebranding. It has no new functionality and the user interface remains the same as well. That may change with subsequent releases, though.
As of now, Samsung Daily is available only on devices running the latest Android 10 beta, that is the Galaxy S10e, S10, S10+, and the S10 5G. A global rollout should begin with the arrival of the stable Android 10 update. Samsung Daily will also be available for devices running Android 9 Pie.
