The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is now official. This handset has been heavily teased by Xiaomi in the last couple of weeks, and it has been announced in China.
For those of you who are unaware, this phone will be rebranded to the Mi Note 10 for global markets. So, if you find it interesting, you will be able to get your hands on it, but with global software and a different name.
The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro features five cameras and a huge battery
The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is actually quite an interesting phone. It not only comes with one of the most powerful mid-range processors, while it also packs in a huge battery, five cameras, and a 108-megapixel main camera.
This smartphone, as you can see, is made out of metal and glass. It comes with a tiny dewdrop notch, and thin bezels overall. The phone includes a ‘chin’ below the display, but that chin is barely thicker than the rest of this phone’s bezels. All the physical keys sit on the right-hand side of this phone, while its display sports rounded corners. Xiaomi’s logo is present on the back, along with five vertically-aligned cameras. Xiaomi also decided to include two sets of dual-LED flash sensors here.
The phone features a 6.47-inch fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) AMOLED display, and 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Both of those RAM variants come in 128GB UFS 2.1 storage flavors. The 8GB RAM model also comes in a 256GB storage variant. The phone includes two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), and MIUI 11 which is based on Android. We still don’t know if it’s Android 10 or Android 9 Pie, though.
A 5,260mAh battery is also included in this package, and it supports 30W fast charging. Xiaomi says that this battery can reach 58-percent charge in 30 minutes, and fully charge (0-100-percent) in 65 minutes.
The phone also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Hi-Res audio. Dual 4G VoLTE connectivity is also enabled on the device, while the phone measures 157.8 x 74.2 x 9.67mm, and weighs 208 grams. The phone also packs in an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.
This phone’s DxOMark score is quite surprising
This phone’s camera setup is probably the most interesting aspect of the device. The phone actually managed to hit a 121-point score on DxOMark, which makes its equivalent to the top-rated phone by the site, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. The phone includes a 32-megapixel camera on the front, but most of you are probably interested in its rear-facing cameras.
A 108-megapixel camera (f/1.69 aperture, 7P lens, OIS) is utilized as the main camera on this device. That camera uses pixel binning to provide 27-megapixel images.
In addition to that, Xiaomi also included 12-megapixel (Samsung’s SAK2L3 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 2x optical zoom), 8-megapixel (f/2.0 aperture, 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, 50x digital zoom), 20-megapixel (f/2.2 aperture, 117-degree ultra-wide lens), and 2-megapixel (f/2.4 aperture, macro lens for 1.5cm macro shots) cameras.
As you can see, the company included two telephoto cameras on this device. It also covers ultra-wide photography, and macro photography. One of the dual-LED flash sensors on the back is a ‘hard light’ sensor, while the other one provides ‘soft light’.
The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro comes in Midnight Black, Aurora Green, and Snow Aurora colors. Its 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage is priced at CNY2,799 ($399), while an 8GB RAM model with the same storage costs CNY3,099 ($442). The 8GB RAM variant with 256GB of storage can be yours for CNY3,499 ($499).
