OUKTIEL has kicked off a new promotion via GearBest. The company’s big battery OUKITEL WP5 can now be purchased for only $99.99. This sale kicked off today, and a limited number of units are available. The first 500 buyers can purchase this phone for $99.99, after that point, its price tag will jump up to $119.99.
This promotion will last until January 5, says OUKITEL. It is possible that the company will sell over 500 units before then, in which case the promotion will end sooner.
The OUKITEL WP5 includes a huge battery, and a low price tag
The OUKITEL WP5 is a big battery phone, but also a budget device, as its price tag suggests. The phone does not include a display camera hole nor a notch, but it does have noticeable bezels above and below the display.
This is a rugged phone, though, so such bezels are expected. The phone also comes with reinforced sides, and back, to be able to handle drops.
You will notice three horizontally-aligned cameras on the back, and a fingerprint scanner below them. The design of the phone’s back is quite interesting. The company’s logo is also included on the back, as is ‘IP68’ mention. That means that this phone has been IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
What’s also interesting on this phone’s back, are its LED lights. The device includes four such lights on the back, which are horizontally aligned.
In terms of specs, the OUKITEL WP5 is not ground-breaking, but its specs are quite solid having the asking price in mind. The phone features a 5.5-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display.

The OUKITEL WP5 is fueled by the Helio A22 64-bit processor, while it includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity, and it also comes with an 8,000mAh battery. Considering such a huge battery, the phone’s HD+ display, and a processor that is not draining the battery as much… this phone will be to provide great battery life.
In addition to that fingerprint scanner, the phone also supports facial scanning. The OUKITEL WP5 uses its front-facing camera for that purpose.
Speaking of cameras, the OUKITEL WP5 includes one 13-megapixel, and two 2-megapixel cameras on the back. In addition to that, a single 5-megapixel unit is placed on its front side.
