Amazon has the ASUS Chromebook C425 on sale today for just $329. That’s $170 off of its regular price, making this a really great time to pick one up.
The ASUS Chromebook C425 is a pretty highly-specced Chromebook, especially for a sub-$500 Chromebook (or now, a sub-$350 Chromebook).
It sports a 14-inch full HD display, which has some really small bezels. We’re talking about a 14-inch display inside of a 13-inch laptop body. It’s powered by the Intel Core m3-8100y processor, with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage inside. Those are specs you don’t always see on a Chromebook in this price range.
As far as ports go, ASUS has two USB-C ports for charging, as well as a regular USB-A port available. There is also a headphone jack and a micro SD card slot. Two things that “pro” laptops don’t have these days.
This is a 2-in-1 Chromebook, so the hinge does allow it to fold all the way back, and use it like a tablet. ASUS also has included a backlit, chicklet keyboard. Which actually works really well.
Now we have to keep in mind here that this is a Chromebook, so it’s not going to be running a full OS like a Windows laptop or a Macbook might. It is essentially just a web browser. Though there is no Android app support thanks to the Google Play Store, so you can run Android apps on here. But if you need more than just a browser, this might not be the laptop for you.
The ASUS Chromebook C425 is going to be a great Chromebook to pick up for your parents, or possibly even your kids, and at $329, now is the time to buy.
