Xiaomi Mi 10 Flagship May Include A Large 4,800mAh Battery

According to a new rumor that surfaced in China, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 10 may ship with a 4,800mAh battery. Needless to say, that is quite a large battery, which is a good thing.

This information comes from a tipster that goes by the name ‘Digital Chat Station’. The information has been published via Weibo.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 may include a 4,800mAh battery & 66W fast wired charging

He did say, however, that this information may not be entirely accurate. He mentioned that battery capacities in Mi 10-branded phones may vary between 4,500 and 4,800mAh, but it seems like the standard version will include a 4,800mAh unit.

The device may also support 66W wired fast charging. That is not something the source mentioned, but a piece of information that surfaced a while back.

The device will also, almost certainly, support wireless charging. Its wireless charging is also expected to be quite fast. The company has announced 30W Mi Charge Turbo wireless fast charging back in September. We’re expecting to see such charging in the Xiaomi Mi 10, along with a 4,800mAh battery.

We’re not yet sure when will the Mi 10 arrive, though. The phone is expected to launch sometime in Q1 2020, but we’re not sure when will it happen.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 was announced in February this year, so its successor may follow in February 2020. The company may opt to release it before MWC 2020, or during that tradeshow, we’ll see.

There is always a chance that Xiaomi will wait with its announcement. Previous Mi-branded flagships have had various release dates, so nothing is set in stone at this point.

The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865G

Xiaomi had confirmed, during the Qualcomm Summit, that the Mi 10 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865G SoC. That is Qualcomm’s new flagship processor, and it supports 5G connectivity.

The phone will, almost certainly, be made out of metal and glass. We do not really know what exactly to expect in the design department, though. If Xiaomi aims to follow the trend, though, the device will include a display camera hole.

The phone is expected to include at least three cameras on the back, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Its display will probably be flat, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.

Android 10 will come pre-installed on the phone, along with Xiaomi’s MIUI skin. The Mi 10 will not be as expensive as its competition, as Xiaomi is well-known for extremely competitive pricing.
