ZTE has confirmed the name, design and some specifications of its upcoming flagship. The ZTE Axon 10s Pro 5G is its name, and the phone will launch in H1 2020 with the Snapdragon 865 SoC.
The ZTE Axon 10s Pro 5G is coming with Snapdragon 865 in H1 2020
During the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2019 earlier this month, the company did confirm that its 2020 Axon-branded phones are coming. The company also confirmed that they will offer 5G connectivity, and that it plans to announce a Snapdragon 865 flagship in H1 2020.
Well, now we know what that phone will be called, and also what it will look like. If you take a look at the images below the article, you’ll be able to see the phone itself.
The device will be made out of metal and glass, that much is obvious. It will include a curved display, and really thin bezels. Its bottom bezel will be thicker than its side and top bezels, though.
We’re not sure if it will include a waterdrop display notch, or a display hole, but its camera is visible in the provided image. The wallpaper is pure black, so we don’t really see if a notch is present or not, but this seems like a regular display hole.
The phone will include three cameras on the back, with an LED flash below them. Those cameras will be placed in the top-left corner of the phone’s back, and a fingerprint scanner is not visible here. That probably means that the Axon 10s Pro 5G will sport an under-display fingerprint scanner.
This smartphone will support SA/NSA dual-mode 5G network, and WiFi 6. The device will include a 4,000mAh battery, and a flexible hyperboloid glass.
This 5G phone will be only 7.9mm thick
The device will be only 7.9mm thick, and weight 175 grams. Having that in mind, it will be one of the thinnest 5G smartphones in the market.
ZTE also confirmed that it will feature AI engine Z-Booster 2.0, which will intelligently allocate system resources through AI algorithms. It will also optimize the game and multitasking performance, and so on.
Link-Booster intelligent network acceleration will support multiple concurrent network connections. That will also be a part of the phone.
The device will ship with Android 10 out of the box, and ZTE’s MiFavor 10 skin on top of it. MiFavor 10 got announced not long ago, and it brings new system icons, better battery life, AI-related improvements, and so on.
ZTE also confirmed that it plans to launch over 15 5G products in 2020. 10 of those products will be 5G smartphones.
