Android Twitter Sets Up Official Help Hashtag For Users

Sometimes getting the help you need with your device isn’t straightforward, but it can be easier now thanks to the official help hashtag from the Android Twitter page.

Earlier this morning the official Android Twitter announced that you can now ask for help through a tweet.

All you need to do to get the answers to your questions is send a tweet using the proper hashtag. That hashtag is #Androidhelp, and if added anywhere in your tweet before posting, you should get some assistance from the Android account.

The Android Twitter help questions need to be related to your device

It goes without saying, but the questions that require help need to be related to your Android device.

For example, you could ask how to turn on dark mode. You could even be unsure if you have a device that supports dark mode in the first place. You could ask this too. Or you could ask why your phone keeps rebooting.

In a way, this sort of acts like a 24-hour help line for Android users. And for the most part it is. Though there’s no telling how long it may take for you to get a response back.

So even if you can ask your questions any time of day and any day of the week, that doesn’t mean responses will be fast. But, it’s better than the alternative which is not having this option at all.

Similar to Google’s Pixel Help line

In a roundabout way this is similar to the Pixel help line that Pixel device users have. With that feature, Pixel owners can contact a Google employee either through phone call or chat if they have an issue or a question regarding their device. 24 hours a day. Seven days a week.

This is more or less the same thing, but through a different social channel and for any device that runs on Android. Since Twitter is up and running 24 hours a day and seven days a week as well, you should be able to ask for help at any time.

But it’s worth remembering that users should be prepared to wait a little bit if needed. If you don’t have a Twitter account and need a way to get assistance with your device, this is a way to do that. So it may be time to set one up.
