Best Of CES 2020: Amazfit ZenBuds

Amazfit came forward with a rather interesting product at CES 2020, the Amazfit ZenBuds. These earbuds are quite compelling for those of you who have trouble sleeping, and are designed especially for that purpose.

The Amazfit ZenBuds may look like a very compact pair of your regular truly wireless earbuds, but they’re not. These are a health tool, more than anything else. Many of you are probably wondering if they can be used as regular truly wireless earbuds, and the answer is… well, no. You cannot upload your melodies to these earbuds, only use those provided by Amazfit, for sleep improvement.

Still, the Amazfit ZenBuds are a great tool for sleeping. They can ensure you get a good night’s sleep, and are one of the more interesting products we’ve seen at CES 2020. Therefore, we’ve decided to give out one of our CES 2020 awards to this product.

These earbuds are all about tackling insomnia

The Amazfit ZenBuds come with a “plug & sleep” design, as Amazfit likes to call it. They have the noise-blocking in-ear design, and are also extremely light and comfortable. That is actually one of the main aspects of these earbuds. If a product like this is not comfortable enough, it defeats the whole purpose. You’re supposed to be able to wear them all night without any discomfort whatsoever.

If you do mind having something in your ears while you sleep, this product is not for you. That is kind of obvious, but it’s worth noting nonetheless. These are noise-blocking earbuds, and they can play relaxing sounds in your ear. While you’re sleeping, they will monitor the quality of your sleep. This is supposed to help improve the quality of your sleep.

Soothing sounds that these earbuds can reproduce imitate different scenarios and natural environments. Those sounds vary from chirping birds, to babbling brooks. You can get those sounds from the company’s app, there is a ‘Music Library’ option on the inside. You will also need your phone to control the volume of these earbuds, you will not be able to control it via the volume rocker buttons on your phone.

These earbuds are only 1.78 grams heavy, each of them. That makes them three times lighter than a single AirPod Pro. Amazfit also says that these earbuds ship with skin-friendly silicone tips, that are extremely comfortable to wear.

The Amazfit ZenBuds were shown off at CES with ergonomic design & good battery life

These earbuds have been designed to be slanted into your ear, said Amazfit. They are designed so that you don’t feel that they’re in there, pretty much. This design braces each earpiece firmly against your outer ear, which is supposed to prevent them from slipping around. That should make them comfortable to wear no matter what position you’re sleeping in.
These earbuds also serve as an alarm clock. They will wake you up gently each morning, without people around you hearing anything. The alarm tone will increase gradually.

These earbuds are equipped with micro lithium-ion batteries, and they provide 8 hours of use on a single charge. Do note that the earbuds will go to sleep mode when you fall asleep, thanks to their sleep detection. That will save battery, of course. They will not come on until you need to wake up, at which point they will play an alarm sound.

The Amazfit ZenBuds also come with a charging case. It rotates in order to open, and it can provide you with an additional 56 hours of power. The bottom of this case is also designed so that it doesn’t slip around when placed on a table. There you have it. These are the Amazfit ZenBuds that got introduced at CES 2020, and we liked them quite a bit, enough to give out one of our awards.
