Five Different Galaxy S20 Models Coming, Three Of Which Are 5G Units

Max Weinbach had shared the Samsung Galaxy S20+ real-life images quite recently, and now he revealed some more Galaxy S20 series-related info. Mr. Weinbach listed all Galaxy S20 models that are coming.

He confirmed this information via Twitter, by the way. According to this info, Samsung will launch five different Galaxy S20 models, including three 5G ones, and two 4G options.

Three 5G, and two 4G Galaxy S20 series models are coming

To be more specific, here are all Galaxy S20 models that are coming: Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 5G, S20+, S20+ 5G, and S20 Ultra 5G.

So, it seems like the Galaxy S20 and S20+ will come in both 4G and 5G variants. The Galaxy S20 Ultra will be available in a 5G iteration only.

It’s quite interesting that Samsung is planning to launch more 5G variants, than 4G ones. It is 2020, and 5G did arrive, but it’s not nearly as widespread as it should be. It will take a while for that to happen, so this approach by Samsung is quite interesting.

All five of these Galaxy S20 models will become official on February 11. Samsung had already announced that press conference. Along with those units, Samsung is also expected to announce its first clamshell foldable smartphone.

That device may or may not be called the Galaxy Fold 2. In any case, it is rumored to arrive with the Snapdragon 855, and it will fold vertically, right down the middle. So, it will be different to the Galaxy Fold.

The ‘Ultra’ model will be the most powerful one

All Samsung Galaxy S20 variants will be made out of metal and glass, most probably. Samsung may opt for ceramic on the Galaxy S20 Ultra, but that’s just a wild guess. Chances are that they’ll all be made out of metal and glass. The Galaxy S20 Ultra will be the most powerful Galaxy S20 option.

The Snapdragon 865 will fuel the Galaxy S20 smartphones, though 5G ones will ship with the Snapdragon 865G. The only difference is in 5G support.

Chances are that all variants will include a centered display hole, and very similar designs. Camera setups on the back will be different from one phone to the other, though.

Android 10 will come pre-installed on all Galaxy S20 units, along with Samsung’s custom UI. An in-display fingerprint scanner will also be a part of the package, an ultrasonic one from Qualcomm.

Advanced facial scanning will not be available. Samsung will almost certainly include your regular facial scanning, via the front-facing camera. Much more info regarding the Galaxy S20 series is expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
