Galaxy S20 Series Dummies Shed More Light On Upcoming Flagships

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series dummies have just appeared on YouTube, giving us more info on Samsung’s upcoming flagships.

That may seem like an odd thing to do, basing information off of dummies. Well, yes, it may seem odd, but these dummies come from a reliable source, Max Weinbach.

These Galaxy S20 dummies are 3D-printed, based on CAD files

Mr. Weinbach already shared real-life images of the Galaxy S20+, along with a ton of additional info. Well, he 3D-printed the Galaxy S20 series dummies based on CAD files, and decided to make a video for XDA Developers.

In the video that is embedded down below, you can see all three dummies. Those dummies are compared with a ton of other phones that Mr. Weinbach currently has on him.

These dummies are essentially molds of the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra. They are precisely cut out, so you should get an idea of what to expect. Do note that while the overall size and most details should be on point, camera cutouts on the back may not.

You can see the display curves, general size, display camera hole, and much more based on these. Fire up the video down below to see them compared with each other, and with other phones.

It seems like the Galaxy S20 is narrower, and taller than the Galaxy S10. That is to be expected, as it comes with a higher display aspect ratio. The phone will sport a slightly larger display overall, by the way.

The Galaxy S20+, on the other hand, will be taller than the S10+, and very similar in terms of width. The Galaxy S20 Ultra, on the other hand, is huge. It is considerably taller than the Note 10, and similar in width… a little bit narrower, it seems.

What is also obvious from this video, is that while the Galaxy S20 displays will be curved, that curve won’t be as pronounced as you may think. Samsung decided to go with a slight curve, it seems.

Samsung’s new flagships will become official on February 11

The Galaxy S20 series will become official on February 11. Samsung will announce three phones as part of it, the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra.

The Galaxy S20 and S20+ will arrive in both 4G and 5G variants. The Galaxy S20 Ultra will be available in a 5G flavor only, though. All phones will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865(G)

Along with the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Flip. That is the company’s new clamshell foldable smartphone.
