According to a new tip, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will include a considerably smaller battery than the Galaxy Fold. This information comes from Max Weinbach.
Mr. Weinbach had released a ton of information regarding the Galaxy S20 series lately, especially the Galaxy S20+. Now, he decided to share some Galaxy Z Flip insight as well.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is expected to arrive alongside the Galaxy S20 series on February 11. According to the source, the device will include a 3,300mAh battery, and be fueled by the Snapdragon 855.
The Snapdragon 855 SoC has been hinted at before. A recent report suggested that this phone will ship with that processor. The Snapdragon 855 is not the latest and greatest out there, but it was Qualcomm’s flagship SoC for 2019, well, one of them.
As far as the battery is concerned, well, it seems to be quite small. Then again, the Galaxy Z Flip will essentially be a phone that folds into a piece of glass with tiny display on the outside.
The Galaxy Z Flip battery will be smaller than you may think, then again it may be sufficient
If this info ends up being true, the Galaxy Z Flip battery will be quite a bit smaller than the one included in the Galaxy Fold. We assume that the Galaxy Z Flip’s display will be considerably smaller as well.
As a reminder, the Galaxy Z Flip will include one large display on the inside, and a tiny display on the outside. The source says that we should not be worried about battery life, though.
Mr. Weinbach claims that the battery life will be “pretty ok”. He adds that it will be similar to the mid-size Galaxy S10, so the regular Galaxy S10 variant. That phone did not offer great battery life at all, but it wasn’t horrible either.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will become the very first clamshell foldable from Samsung. This device will fold vertically, unlike the Galaxy Fold.
The device will include thin bezels, display camera hole
The Galaxy Z Flip will include really thin bezels, and a centered display camera hole. Its display will not be curved, and it is said to sport two rear cameras.
The phone will include a really tiny display on the back, parallel with its rear cameras. That display will be just large enough to show you the time, and perhaps notification count.
This smartphone is expected to arrive on February 11. Samsung scheduled an Unpacked event in San Francisco on that date, for the Galaxy S20, primarily.
