Ghost Recon Breakpoint is getting ready to hold a live event on January 29 that incorporates the Terminator.
The crossover will go live on Stadia and other platforms this week, including PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Ubisoft hasn’t shared any specific information about the event in its entirety. It has however put out a teaser trailer for the event on its YouTube and Twitter pages.
The short teaser (posted below) doesn’t give much away other than that the Terminator will arrive on the island of Aurora. As well as the date of the event and which platforms it’ll be available on right away.
The fact that it’s going live on Stadia the same day is also good news for the platform. Other games like Borderlands 3, seem to have older content updates on Stadia than on the other platforms where it’s available.
The Terminator event in Ghost Recon Breakpoint should last a month
If this new live event is anything at all like the Predator event in Ghost Recon Wildlands, then it should last around a month.
In the older game, the Predator missions associated with the event stuck around, but the challenges were taken away after the event ended. It arrived in-game on December 14 of 2017, and ended mid-January of 2018.
So this could be used as an indicator for how long the Terminator event will stick around. Provided that it includes challenges in addition to the missions like the Predator event did.
Ubisoft could share more information before the event
Right now the only information about the event that’s out there is the teaser trailer. So gamers know the event is coming and exactly what day it’ll open up.
Ubisoft could also share more details about the event prior to it going live. The publisher is likely to share such information on its Twitter account where it also posted the teaser.
So anyone wishing to know additional information about may want to keep a close eye on the page. It’s also entirely possible that Ubisoft won’t share any information about the event until it goes live.
Leaving players with having to wait until the event is playable before actually learning about what it includes. If that’s the case, the wait won’t be long, but it won’t leave players much time to prepare. If there is any preparation to be done.
This will be Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s first live event in the game. It was originally scheduled to be released last year. But it’s likely that the decision to push it back was made to ensure the game itself had time to receive fixes for often complained about bugs.
There is also potential that more live events could pop up down the road, provided this one goes well.
