Mob Psycho 100 Becomes A Turn-Based RPG Game For Mobile

If you’re an anime fan then you may have seen Mob Psycho 100, as it’s a popular show, and now you can do more than just watch it by playing Mob Psycho 100: Psychic Battle.

This is a turn-based RPG that follows characters of the show, complete with anime visuals so it sort of feels like you’re playing the show in a way.

The game in now way follows the same story of the anime however. This is a completely original storyline, which is great for a couple of reasons. One, if you haven’t seen the anime yet then you shouldn’t have to worry about any spoilers.

And two, if you have seen the show and enjoy it, then this will feel more like a tribute to something you love.

This is also the latest title to come from Crunchyroll Games, which has also released other anime-based titles like Bungo Stray Dogs: Tales of The Lost, and other partner-supported titles like Attack on Titan Tactics and the upcoming Naruto X Boruto: Ninja Tribes.

Mob Psycho 100: Psychic Battle will have some elements from the anime

Despite the game having its own original story, there will be some things from the anime that are incorporated.

More specifically, some elements from seasons one and two will be used, such as characters and character abilities. The important thing is that there won’t really be any story elements from the anime worked in.

As you play you’ll get to explore the world of Seasoning City and collect and level up your character roster. You’ll need to train them to make them stronger, which you can do by using them in battles.

Turn-based battles are 5 on 5

Combat is fairly straightforward if you’ve ever played any turn-based RPGs before. You’ll get to use a team of 5 in many of the battles throughout the game, though you will need to collect more characters first.

Each character will have their own set of unique special psychic abilities to unleash. And thanks to the game’s high-quality anime-style graphics combat will be visually appealing as well.

Speaking of the visuals, the game’s map system has a very Persona 5-inspired aesthetic, which is likely to sit well with fans of that particular game. The game also includes fully animated cutscenes in addition to the 3D graphics of the gameplay, so all around this is a very good looking game.

If you’d like to give Mob Psycho 100: Psychic Battle a try, you can pick it up from the Play Store now for free.
