Mophie, the Zagg-owned accessory maker, is expanding its portable batteries lineup with a powerbank powerful enough to jump-start your car. The new Powerstation Go is a 44,400mWh portable battery that can charge nearly any device. Mophie says it can jump-start any SUV or a full-size car, as well as your mobile devices and laptops. It even has wireless charging.

The Powerstation Go features two 2.4A USB-A ports to safely charge two mobile devices at once. There’s also a 115V AC output port with up to 65W of power so you can plug in your laptop on the go.
On top of it is a wireless charging surface that charges any Qi-enabled device with up to 5W of power. This Mophie portable battery also comes with a built-in LED flashlight just in case of emergencies.
As for jump-starting your car, the Powerstation Go comes with a pair of 14-inch mini jumper cables that connect to the battery through an EC5 port. Unfortunately, these cables are proprietary and only work with Mophie’s battery.
You won’t be able to use any old pair of cables to jump-start a car from this battery. Also, the battery requires more than 50 percent charge to jump-start your car.
The battery itself takes a whopping nine hours to charge fully. It charges via the included AC adapter. Mophie says the Powerstation Go can jump-start a car up to 50 times on one full charge, and a full-size SUV up to 35 times on one full charge.
It can even jump-start a truck or a boat engine. Charging functions are automatically turned off after 30 minutes of inactivity. The battery can hold a charge for up to 18 months.
Safety measures onboard include easy-to-read indicator lights, spark-proof cables, and automated safety checks. Interestingly, Mophie has printed the quick-start guide right on the carrying pouch you get with it so you never forget how to get started. You also get a USB-to-micro-USB cable and a car charger in the pack.
Price and availability
The Mophie Powerstation Go is a compact box with a dimension of 7.17 x 3.82 x 1.65-inches. It is also extremely lightweight at just 1.64 lbs (744 grams approx.).
It comes in six color options including Black (Onyx), Blue (Cobalt), Rose Gold (Flamingo), Blue/Purple (Sapphire), Woodland (Camo), and Gold with a price tag of $159.95. However, it is currently available on HSN.com at just $110. The battery will be available on mophie.com starting January 9, 2020.
