Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip, will launch in four color options. This information comes from SamMobile, while the source also highlighted what Galaxy Z Flip color options can we expect.
The Galaxy Z Flip will launch in four color options on February 11
The device will launch in black, gold, purple, and silver variants. All those variants will be announced on February 11, according to the source.
The silver variant will be a bit different than the rest, as it will have a “football-like” pattern on it. That has not been elaborated, though, so we don’t know exactly what to expect.
The device leaked in several colors already. The Galaxy Z Flip surfaced in black and purple variants yesterday. That is the first time we’ve seen this device leak, in fact.
The black variant will be exactly what you’d expect, all black. The purple one, not so much. It will combine various different shades of purple. When you tilt the phone, the color will change, the same as with a number of other glass-made phones.
The Galaxy Z Flip will become Samsung’s second foldable smartphone. The Galaxy Fold was the first, but this device will be somewhat different. Unlike the Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Z Flip will fold vertically.
The phone will fold right down the middle, and won’t have that huge notch the Galaxy Fold has. It will include a display camera hole, however, similar to the one coming with the Galaxy S20 series.
The phone will include the Snapdragon 855+, 8GB of RAM, and UTG
The Z Fold will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855+ SoC, and it will pack in 8GB of RAM. The device will also include 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, and a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display.
Samsung will utilize UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) for this phone, with a layer of plastic on top of it. Two horizontally-aligned cameras will be placed on the back of the phone, along with a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
The company will include two 12-megapixel cameras on the back of this phone, according to rumors. In addition to that, you’ll also get a single 10-megapixel camera on the front.
Android 10 will come pre-installed on the phone, along with Samsung’s One UI 2 skin. The Galaxy Z Flip will compete with the Motorola Razr in the foldables market, kind of, as the two will be similarly priced.
The Galaxy Z Flip is expected to cost around $1,500, and the device will go on sale on February 14, according to rumors.
