Vizio has come to Las Vegas for CES 2020 with a couple of new sound bars, but the Elevate is the model that has really caught our attention.
It’s a really cool looking sound bar, that goes great with the new Vizio OLED TV that was also announced today.
But what really makes the Vizio Elevate cool, is the fact that the front speakers will rotate, giving you an even better sound experience with Dolby Atmos.
The Vizio Elevate is a 10-channel sound bar that is sure to rock the house
It’s a pretty powerful sound bar from Vizio. It’s a 10-channel, 5.1.4 sound system that is going to feature 18 drivers and a wireless subwoofer.
The entire sound bar measures in at about 48 inches across. So it’s going to be great for those larger TVs.
However, what really sets the Vizio Elevate apart at CES 2020, is definitely the fact that it can rotate. The sound bar will rotate the speakers on the left and the right when playing Dolby Atmos content. The speakers will rotate up, giving it a better sound experience with Atmos. But with everything else, it’ll rotate forward. So that the sound is firing right at you.
While the sound quality is likely really good, especially with Dolby Atmos included. What really makes the Elevate cool is the fact that the speakers can rotate. That is not something we’ve seen with a sound bar as of yet.
Vizio also brought some new M-Series sound bars
As expected, these are going to be much cheaper and are the budget and mid-range sound bars from Vizio.
There’s the M-Series 5.1 and 5.2 sound bars which include Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. Vizio says that these are going to be at “mid-range” prices. And that means that it would be the first time we’ve seen Dolby Atmos at a mid-range price. Though that is going to depend on Vizio’s definition of “mid-range”.
M-Series sound bars also bring in HDMI ARC support. Allowing you to plug them into an HDMI port on your TV and have the ability to control the volume with your TV remote. Making it a lot more convenient.
Pricing & Availability have not been announced
This is going to be a running theme this week with CES products being announced. But pricing and availability have not been announced for the Elevate or the M-Series sound bars.
Vizio says that it will share those details in the coming weeks. And it’s likely that these are going to differ based on your region.
