The Xiaomi Mi 10 flagship will become official in Q1 2020. That information has just been confirmed by Lei Jun, the company’s founder, chairman, and CEO.
It was earlier confirmed that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865 SoC, and now we know when to expect it. Rumors have been suggesting that the device will arrive in February, and it seems like those rumors may have been accurate.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 coming in Q1 2020, maybe on February 11
One rumor in specific suggested that the device will launch on February 11, the same day as the Galaxy S20 series. That very same rumor said that it will launch before the Galaxy S20, though, earlier in the day.
We don’t know how smart it is to do that, as the Galaxy S20 launch will probably take the spotlight, but… we’ll see. The Xiaomi Mi 10 will probably arrive in at least two models. Both the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro have been rumored to arrive in Q1 2020.
The company’s CEO also revealed that the company sold over 427 million handsets that are fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. Lei Jun also took the chance to reiterate that the company is planning to launch at least 10 5G handsets in 2020.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro have been leaking for quite some time. The ‘Pro’ model actually surfaced the other day in real-life images. Those images actually look quite convincing.
Based on what they shared, we expect the Mi 10 Pro to support extremely fast 66W charging. The device will be made out of metal and glass, it seems, while it will include a display camera hole.
The company’s upcoming flagships are expected to be quite affordable
The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will probably be considerably more affordable than the competition. That’s one of Xiaomi’s strong suits, offering really quality phones for rather low price tags.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 was quite affordable for what it had to offer, and it managed to stay quite competitive. The Mi 9 was quite successful for Xiaomi, and the company is looking to continue that trend.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will include high refresh rate displays, quite probably 120Hz ones. Those will be OLED panels, and both phones are said to pack in a ton of RAM.
Android 10 will come pre-installed on both smartphones, along with Xiaomi’s MIUI skin. You can expect both of these phones to support fast wireless charging, and come with IP certification for water and dust resistance.
