CD Projekt Red Is Launching GWENT on Android Next Month

Can’t get enough GWENT and wish you could play the game on your Android phone? Well, soon you’ll be able to do just that.

CD Projekt Red (the studio behind the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 as well as The Witcher 3) released a teaser trailer yesterday for the game. It was short and sweet, and at the end it states that the game will be released next month.

For users on iOS, the game has been out since last October. Android fans of the game have no doubt been waiting a while to get their hands on it.

GWENT launches on Android on March 24

GWENT launches next month. On March 24 in fact, and even though there’s still a little bit of a wait, there’s a teaser to get you more hyped.

You can also pre-register for the game below to get some goodies once the game does actually launch.

Or rather one single reward. But hey, a reward is a reward as CDPR doesn’t have to give out anything at all. If you pre-register between now and the game’s release, you’ll get a free avatar.

There’s also the possibility that there will be more rewards, but the avatar is the only thing listed in the teaser trailer. So for the time being it’s safe to assume that’s the one thing that will be given out to players.

You can actually play GWENT right now

You read that right. You don’t really have to wait to play GWENT. At least, some form of it.

While this particular version is the Android title, it’s based off of a card game you can play in the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. And for the most part everything is the same. So if you have The Witcher 3 on any platform, you can hop in and play GWENT anytime you like.

All you have to do is find a tavern as this is where the game takes place. GWENT: The Witcher Card Game that you play outside of The Witcher 3 is also available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, so if you have a Windows desktop or laptop or either of those consoles you can play the game there too.

The point is you don’t have to wait for the Android release to try GWENT out. And more importantly you can play both the in-game version and the standalone version. Which is highly recommended if you want to both get a handle on the game mechanics and learn some of the lore behind GWENT.

When GWENT launches on Android it’ll be a free title just like on other platforms.
