The King of Fighters is a popular franchise from SNK and it’s pairing up with Samurai Shodown in THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR. A collaboration like this makes sense given that both games are an SNK property.
The new collaboration event is live tomorrow within the game, allowing players to get a hold of some pretty cool and unique rewards. Some of those rewards are playable characters, while others will be in-game items like Battle Card Tickets, gold, souls and more.
Once the collaboration event begins tomorrow, it’ll continue through March 16 so players will have plenty of time to grab all the associated goodies. That doesn’t mean players should slack off though as it may take some time to acquire everything.
Not all Samurai Shodown characters will unlock in THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR right away
A couple of the characters will be available starting tomorrow when the event goes live. And as mentioned they’ll be up and collectible until the event ends on March 16.
Some characters won’t unlock until later though. For example, Genjuro and Charlotte won’t be available until March 3. There’s also another character from the event that doesn’t unlock until March 10. So you’ll definitely want to login consistently to make sure you don’t miss anything.
There are two characters (Tachibana Ukyo and Amakusa) that you can grab from doing limited time events as well. With these two specifically, you’ll need to participate in the events when they happen.
There are multiple Samurai Shodown events happening in-game
During the course of the collaboration there are multiple Samurai Shodown events happening in THE KING OF FIGHTERS ALLSTAR.
One of them is called the Super Mission and doing this is how you acquire Tachibana Ukyo. In addition to this character you can also grab some gold, souls and some of those other items that were mentioned earlier.
There’s also another event called the Score Dungeon. By beating this dungeon you can acquire various in-game items, as well as coins. These coins are important as you will use them to exchange for Amakusa.
If you fancy the Time Attack mode then you’re in luck because it’s getting a small update for the collaboration. From tomorrow until March 16 players can enter Time Attack mode and use Samurai Shodown characters in it.
And of course there are daily log-in rewards to be had. So that might be more incentive to log into the game every single day. Even if you don’t actually play the game you can still pop in and grab your free items.
