Nintendo is taking a page out of its own book from its other games and is adding a monthly sub to Fire Emblem Heroes.
The new upcoming service is called the Feh Pass, and will launch this week. Specifically on Wednesday, February 5. Nintendo already offers monthly subscriptions in two of its other mobile games.
Which are Mario Kart Tour and it’s $5 Gold Pass, and Animal Crossing Pocket Camp with its $2.99 and $7.99 plans. The Feh Pass will be Nintendo’s most expensive option however. So it seems clear that the company is confident players will spend that money.
And perhaps it should be as the services for both of the other games have worked out in Nintendo’s favor.
The monthly sub for Fire Emblem Heroes will cost $9.49
In the video below, Nintendo reveals the Feh Pass as one of the upcoming changes to the game that’s part of the 3-year anniversary update.
It’ll set players back $9.49 a month, and for that monthly cost players will get access to five different benefits. This includes exclusive access to certain characters, called resplendent heroes, as well as exclusive in-game perks.
One of those perks will be special quests that only Feh Pass holders can access. And upon completion of these quests you can acquire orbs and heroic grails. Players will only be able to do these quests twice a month though.
And since they won’t be coming around very often, you’ll want to make sure to do them when they’re up so you can make the most of the fee you pay to access them.
Other perks include expanded summoner support and more
In addition to exclusive quests and playable heroes, there are three other perks in the Feh pass.
One of these is expanded summoner support. Normally you can only form a bond with one hero. But with the Feh Pass you can form bonds with up to three. So you’ll get an additional two bond capabilities.
There’s also a perk that adds a new ability to your move list, called react, which lets you basically rewind your turn. This could be very useful if you find yourself in situations where you may have made the wrong move.
Lastly, there’s a perk called auto-start which will let you play the same map over and over. If you’re trying to farm for specific materials or items, this is something you might want to take advantage of. All of this will go live on Wednesday when the game gets its new update.
