NVIDIA Confirms Cyberpunk 2077 For GeForce NOW At Launch

Cyberpunk 2077 will make its way to another platform this Fall as it will be available through GeForce NOW at launch.

NVIDIA officially announced the availability earlier this morning in a tweet. With the arrival of this game being pushed back, though, players will still need to find other games on the platform to fill their time.

Cyberpunk 2077 was originally scheduled for an April release date. However CD Projekt Red decided to push the game’s launch back to September of this year to give the game some extra polish.

When it launches it will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia. Though there does seem to be some speculation from users online that it may not launch on Stadia on the same day as other platforms.

Cyberpunk 2077 on GeForce NOW will feature RTXON

Aside from playing the game locally on your PC, one of the biggest advantages of Cyberpunk 2077 on GeForce NOW compared to other platforms like consoles or Stadia, is the RTXON feature.

GeForce NOW servers are powered by RTX2080 Ti GPUs. Which means big power for streaming games to whatever device you like. The RTXON also plays a big part in bringing some advanced graphical features.

Such as better and more realistic reflections. In a vast open-world game like Cyberpunk 2077, any amount of increased visual realism is important. And RTXON will no doubt make an impact on how the game looks.

You won’t actually buy the game on GeForce NOW

Like all the games on GeForce NOW, you won’t actually buy Cyberpunk 2077 through NVIDIA. GeForce NOW only acts as a vessel for your games.

So you’ll purchase it through somewhere like Steam or the Epic Games Store, and then GeForce NOW will let you access that game through those accounts.

That being said, you can expect the cost to be the same as everywhere else. Since this will be a new game that hasn’t launched yet, it should retail for $60 everywhere. Games do have a tendency to have discounted prices before launch though in stores like Steam.

So long as you pre-order the game before its legitimate release date. There’s no telling if this will be the case with Cyberpunk 2077, but there’s always a chance. So it might be worth keeping your eyes open.
