Redmi K30 Pro Will Feature The Snapdragon 865 SoC: Official

Redmi’s General Manager, Lu Weibing, has officially confirmed that the Redmi K30 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 865 SoC. The Redmi K30 Pro, in case you didn’t know, is the company’s upcoming flagship.

The company has confirmed that the Snapdragon 865 will fuel the Redmi K30 Pro via its official Weibo page. The company shared an image of the SoC and the name of the phone, confirming what’s coming.

We’ve expected this to happen, as the Redmi K30 Pro was spotted on Geekbench with that processor. The Redmi K20 Pro which arrived last year was fueled by the Snapdragon 855, so it seems fit for its successor to include the best of Qualcomm this year.

The Redmi K30 was announced at the end of last year, but the ‘Pro’ model did not arrive. Well, the phone will become official in March.

The Redmi K30 Pro is coming with the Snapdragon 865 next month

Redmi had confirmed quite recently that the device is coming in March, but that’s not all. The company also confirmed that it will look better than its siblings, the Redmi K30.

The Redmi K30 Pro will not include a pill-shaped display camera hole. It won’t include a display camera hole at all, or a display notch. The Redmi K30 Pro will actually take a page from the Redmi K20 Pro’s book, and pack in a pop-up camera.

Some consumers will be glad because of it, while others are still skeptical. Pop-up cameras have held up pretty well in the last year or so, and they do make it possible for OEMs to remove display holes and notches.

The Redmi K30 Pro will be one of the better-looking phones out there because of this, quite probably. The phone will probably resemble its predecessor from the front, as we’re expecting to see a thin bezel below the display.

The back side of the phone will probably resemble the Redmi K30. The device will include a similar camera setup on the back, if not an identical one.

The device will include an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 4,700mAh battery

All the physical keys will be placed on the right-hand side of this smartphone, in case you were wondering. The device will also pack in an in-display fingerprint scanner, an optical one.

A 4,700mAh battery is rumored for this device, along with 33W fast charging. The phone is expected to pack in LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage as well.

The Redmi K30 includes a 6.67-inch fullHD+ 120Hz display, and the ‘Pro’ model will probably ship with that display as well. We’re hoping it will be an OLED display, however, not an IPS LCD panel.
