Activision is giving players of Call of Duty Mobile a chance to snag a free character skin, and all players have to do is install and play Call of Duty Warzone.
Call of Duty Warzone is the new battle royale version of Call of Duty on PC and consoles. It’s free to play so you don’t have to buy the game, and just by checking it out you get a reward for Call of Duty Mobile.
The celebration event is called Task Force 141 – Warzone, and it includes three team members. Ghost – Stealth, Captain Price, and Gaz. You won’t get all three though.
Call of Duty Mobile players will get to choose their Warzone team member
While you don’t get all three characters, which one you get isn’t random.
That’s because players will get to choose which character they want. Since these are character skins they obviously won’t have any difference in benefits. Meaning which one you choose can be purely based on preference for the love of the character or the design.
Players also won’t get the characters right away. First, you’ll need to install Call of Duty Warzone and play it. You will also need to link the game to the same Call of Duty account as the mobile game. Once you do all of that, you will get an exchange coin in your Call of Duty Mobile mailbox. Which you can exchange for one of the three characters mentioned above.
Worth noting though is that the coin can take up to 72 hours to show up. So it may be a few days before you see it.
If you already own Call of Duty simply update the game
Warzone is free so you don’t need to own Call of Duty if you want to play it. If you do however own the full game and it’s already installed, then just update the game.
Once the update is finished then you will have access to Warzone as a mode within it. Since you don’t have to install an entirely new game, you can save on some hard drive space.
The event started yesterday and it only goes until March 23. So there is a limited amount of time to grab one of these characters for Call of Duty Mobile. If you don’t have a PC or console to play Warzone, there is unfortunately no way to obtain the exchange coin and grab the reward.
