Qualcomm had last month published a list of upcoming Snapdragon 865-powered smartphones. The FCNT (Fujitsu Connected Technologies Limited) arrows 5G was a part of the list and we now have a first look at it.
The unannounced Fujitsu smartphone recently appeared on the company’s official website, showing what to expect from the Japanese company on its return to the flagship market. The listing has since been taken down, though.
The Fujitsu arrows 5G features a curved 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout in the top right corner. The display panel comes with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There’s also an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner underneath the display.
Fujitsu arrows 5G supports both mmWave and Sub-6GHz 5G networks
Powering the Fujitsu arrows 5G is obviously the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, which the company has paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage capacity. The phone will support both mmWave and Sub-6GHz 5G networks.
Fujitsu claims 4.1Gbps download and 480Mbps upload speeds on mmWave 5G. The download and upload speeds on Sub-6GHz 5G are advertised at 3.4Gbps and 182Mbps, respectively.
For photography, the Fujitsu arrows 5G packs a triple camera setup and an LED flash in a centrally-placed rectangular camera bump on the back. There’s a 48-megapixel main camera, a 16.3-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The latter supports 3x optical zoom.
These cameras also support 4K video recording and offer optical image stabilization. Adobe Photoshop Express integration will make shooting and editing photos seamless. The punch-hole cutout on the front houses a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Fujitsu arrows 5G has dimensions of 164 x 76 x 7.8mm and weighs 180 grams. It has a physical power button on the right side, with volume control keys just below it.
The will pack a 4,070 mAh battery which supports USB-PD fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The phone will run Android 10 out of the box. The device is also IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.
Other notable features of this smartphone include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, MicroSD slot, and FM Radio. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack on this phone, though.
In fact, headphone jacks are gradually becoming obsolete on flagship smartphones. No wonder sales of wireless earbuds and other hearable devices are rising sharply.
There’s no word yet on pricing and availability details of the Fujitsu arrows 5G. The company had listed it as “Coming Soon” in “Spring 2020” before taking the page down. So an official announcement may not be too far off.
