Google Just Announced Two First-Person Puzzle Games For Stadia

Google just dropped two new trailers onto its Stadia YouTube channel for games that are coming this year. Both are first-person puzzle games and are going to be (or already are) available for other platforms in addition to Stadia.

The first game is called The Turing Test, and was originally released for the Xbox One and PC in 2016. It was later released for the PS4 in 2017. And just recently it was released on the Nintendo Switch back in February of this year.

The second game is called Relicta, and is a new game that has yet to release for any platform. Though, in addition to Stadia, it’s scheduled for release on PC through Steam, as well as Xbox One. A PS4 port is not confirmed but it is something that the developers, Mighty Polygon, are hoping to do in the future.

Both puzzle games were part of the Square Enix Collective

Both games were projects under the Square Enix Collective. A subsidiary of Square Enix with a small team that dedicates its time to helping indie games get published while the studios can still keep the creative control.

The Turing Test was published under Square Enix and was developed by Bulkhead Interactive. Meanwhile, Relicta is being developed by Mighty Polygon and lists Ravenscourt as the publisher on Steam.

Each game has a unique theme to it but both look to also offer some similar play styles. Since both are first-person and both are in the puzzle genre, players should expect plenty of head scratching moments.

Neither game has a release date

Like just about all of the games that are announced for Stadia, neither of these two puzzle games has a release date. Each trailer (which you can view below) simply lists “coming soon.”

Rest assured though Google will no doubt share the availability information when the puzzle games are closer to release on the Stadia platform.

Both games are set in off-world locations, The Turing Test on Jupiter and Relicta on the moon, and feature some gorgeous landscapes and visually appealing backgrounds.

Judging by the trailers both games also have engaging stories. Narratives that will keep pulling you in and wanting to play more.

Relicta doesn’t have a listed price yet, which makes sense given that it hasn’t been released. The Turing Test however is $20 on Steam. It’s the same price PS4, and on the Nintendo eShop. So the price will likely be the same on Stadia when it launches.
