OnePlus Won't Launch TWS Earbuds Alongside The OnePlus 8: Tipster

The OnePlus 8 flagship smartphone series will launch on April 14, but the company’s TWS earbuds will not arrive alongside those devices. This information has been shared by Max J., a well-known tipster.

He confirmed that while answering a question from a fan on Twitter. Interestingly enough, the same source reported last year that OnePlus is working on its own pair of TWS earbuds. That report came in last December.

OnePlus’ TWS earbuds won’t launch during the OnePlus 8 press event

Many people expected that the company’s TWS earbuds will arrive alongside the OnePlus 8 series, but that won’t be the case, it seems. This is, of course, not an official confirmation, but Max J. is usually right.

Considering that the company has been developing these earbuds for quite some time, they may arrive later this year. OnePlus probably won’t host a separate press conference just for those earbuds, though.

They will either arrive with the rumored OnePlus 8 Lite aka OnePlus Z later this year, or perhaps alongside the OnePlus 8T series of devices at the end of 2020. We’ll see.

That being said, we don’t have any information about these earbuds, yet. We don’t know what to expect in terms of the design, or features, other than the fact the earbuds will be truly wireless, of course.

What does that mean? It means that they won’t be connected via a cable. It also means that they will ship with a charging case, like the Apple Airpods series, Huawei FreeBuds series, and so on.

OnePlus had confirmed yesterday that the OnePlus 8 series will be launching on April 14. The company’s CEO said that the launch event had been postponed three times due to the current health situation across the globe.

The company will host an online-only press conference

The company is now finally ready to unveil its new flagship smartphones, it seems. The press conference will be online-only, though, for health reasons. That is the usual practice lately, and a good safety precaution.

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will be announced during that event, and both phones leaked quite a few times thus far. Both of those phones will be made out of metal and glass, while both will offer curved displays as well.

These two phones will look almost identical, in fact. The OnePlus 8 Pro will be a bit larger, and it will include an extra camera on the back. Both devices will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865, and support 5G connectivity.

You can also expect to see Android 10 pre-installed on both of them. Only the ‘Pro’ model will offer IP68 certification and fast wireless charging. Both of these phones will be flagship-grade, though.
