Redmi Note 9 Series Will Become Official On March 12

Redmi has just confirmed that its Note 9 series of smartphones will become official on March 12. The company has confirmed that via its official Redmi India Twitter handle.

Redmi Note 9 coming on March 12 with faster charging, more powerful internals

Redmi is using the ‘ProCamerasMaxPerformance’ caption for this launch event. The company did not mention the Note 9 on Twitter, but the number ‘9’ is listed in the image that the company shared, along with the March 12 date.

If you take a closer look at that image, you’ll also see a confirmation that the phone will include four cameras on the back. It seems like those cameras will be placed in two rows, two in each row.

Amazon’s placeholder for this launch confirms that the phone will offer “premium design, immersive gaming experience, and improved fast charging”.

Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi’s Global VP and Managing Director of Xiaomi India, indirectly confirmed the Redmi Note 9’s design, well, a part of its design.

The phone(s) will include a 3.5mm headphone jack

He shared an image on Twitter recently, in which you can see the bottom half of the Redmi Note 9. That image is included below this paragraph, and as you can see, the device will include a 3.5mm headphone jack.

That image also shows the phone’s bottom-firing speaker, and a Type-C port that is placed in the middle. The device will be made out of metal and glass, it seems, and the back will be curved.

That is basically all the information that we have at the moment. The Redmi Note 8 series was quite successful for Redmi, so the company has high hopes for the Note 9 series.

Chances are that Redmi will announce more than one phone on March 12. The Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro, probably. On the other hand, it’s possible that only one will get announced, and the other one may arrive at a later date.

Redmi has a tendency to announcing several phones in that lineup, so we’ll get more than one phone regardless. The Redmi Note 9 series will include mid-range phones, though, that’s for sure.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro was the company’s most powerful ‘Note 8’ smartphone last year. It was announced in August, and offered quite a lot for the asking price. It not only included a large, fullHD+ display, but it also sported a really competent MediaTek processor.

The device also came in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, and included four cameras on the back, as the Redmi Note 9 series smartphone are expected to sport.
