Xiaomi Mi 10 Global Launch Set For March 27: Official

Xiaomi has just scheduled a global launch for its Mi 10 flagship series, as the two phones will arrive on March 27. The two devices had been introduced in China already, last month, while its global launch was initially delayed.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were supposed to be announced for global markets during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. That whole tradeshow got canceled due to Coronavirus feares, so Xiaomi decided to postpone the global launch of the Mi 10 series.

Xiaomi Mi 10 global launch will take place on March 27, it starts at 2PM CET

Xiaomi had confirmed via Twitter that the Mi 10 global launch has been rescheduled for March 27. This will be an online-only event, and it will start at 2PM CET / 5AM PST / 8AM EST.

Considering that the two phones already got announced in China, we know exactly what to expect. There could be some smaller differences between the Chinese and global models, though.

One difference that we all know will be in the software. The global models will ship with a global variant of MIUI 11, which comes pre-installed on top of Android 10. Chinese models come with a Chinese version of MIUI 11, and without GMS.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro design will remain unchanged, and the same goes for its specifications, at least for the most part. We could see a difference or two in the spec department, in terms of RAM or storage.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are both made out of metal and glass, and the two phones look almost identical. The only difference that can be seen is located on the back, as their rear camera setups are different.

Both phones include a display camera hole in the top-left corner. Both include curved displays, and extremely thin bezels. They are both also extremely slippery, though that’s not surprising considering their build materials.

Both devices include high refresh rate displays, and the Snapdragon 865 SoC

A 6.67-inch fullHD+ Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate is included on both devices. Both phones are fueled by the Snapdragon 865 64-bit octa-core processor.

Both devices come in several RAM and storage variants, including both 8GB and 12GB RAM flavors. Xiaomi utilized both LPDDR5 and UFS 3.0 in these two smartphones.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 includes a 108-megapixel main camera, 13-megapixel ultrawide unit, and two 2-megapixel cameras. The MI 10 Pro, on the other hand, has the same 108-megapixel main camera, in addition to a 12-megapixel portrait camera, 20-megapixel ultrawide one, and an 8-megapixel telephoto unit.

Both phones sport a 20-megapixel front-facing camera, and come with stereo speakers. The Mi 10 has a larger battery, while the Mi 10 Pro comes with faster wired charging. Both devices include 30W fast wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.
