Huami has just announced its new smartwatch, and listed it on Indiegogo, the crowdfunding platform. The name of this smartwatch is the Amazfit X, and it is actually quite futuristic-looking.
This smartwatch features a curved AMOLED display, and it doesn’t look anything like a regular watch. The company has been teasing the arrival of this watch for a while now, and it’s finally here.
The Amazfit X is a futuristic watch with a curved display
The Amazfit X features a 2.07-inch (206 x 640) AMOLED display which is touch-sensitive. That display, along with the watch’s body, wraps around your wrist. The watch looks quite minimalistic, actually, and futuristic at the same time.
Huami says that it used 700°C hot bending FPC-connected three-piece motherboard in order to make this design a reality. The watch comes with a ton of customizable watch faces, and can track your steps without a problem.
Over 40 widgets are available on the watch, while a heart rate sensor is also something you’ll find here. The watch band that you can see in the provided images is made out of silicone.
This watch also comes with a pressure-sensitive sensor, so there are more ways to interact with its display. The watch can also monitor your blood oxygen levels, thanks to the infrared light test.
GPS is included in the watch, and the same goes for GLONASS. The Amazfit X offers 9 versatile sports modes, and has water resistance up to 50 meters.
The Amazfit X comes with sleep tracking, and can tell you what your stress levels are. It can tell you if you’re relaxed, or is your stress level normal, medium, or high.
Huami promises a 7-day battery life with this watch, even if you use heart rate monitoring at all times. This watch can, of course, receive notifications, track your workouts, and so on.
It weighs 39 grams, and comes in two color variants
It comes with a digital microphone, and a 205mAh battery. Bluetooth 5.0 LE is included here, while the watch weighs 39 grams. It measures 22.6 x 13.6mm, in case you were wondering.
The watch comes in two color variants, both of which are shown in the provided images. Those colors are the Eclipse Black and New Moon Gold.
The Amazfit X smartwatch is now available on Indiegogo, and you can back it if you want. This watch will come to life, as Huami collected 1,329-percent out of its goal at the time of writing this article, and there are still 30 days left.
The company managed to get more than enough cash in a heartbeat, it seems. You can back the project with $149+, as part of the so-called ‘early bird’ offer. The price tag fo the watch will be $329 once it goes on sale, though, so keep that in mind. You can save up quite a lot of cash.
