Here's Where You Can Buy The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 LTE

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 LTE is now available to buy from all four carriers, with four different prices. Here’s where you can buy Samsung’s latest mid-range tablet.

This tablet from Samsung is a nicely sized tablet, coming in at 8.4-inches, and it also offers up LTE. Allowing you to take things on the go, and not worry about needing to hotspot your smartphone to the tablet for Internet.

Samsung has outfitted the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 with an 8.4-inch 1920×1200 display, that gives you a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is running on Android Pie, but it should get updated to Android 10 rather soon. There is no DeX support here, that is being saved for the more expensive Galaxy Tab S6.

Internally, you’ll find the Exynos 7904 processor, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. There is also a 5,000mAh capacity battery that should get you around 10 hours of battery life. And it does use USB-C for charging. As far as cameras go, there is a 8-megapixel camera on the back, and a 5-megapixel camera on the front for those all-important Zoom calls.

Finally, there is a headphone jack here. And there’s dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Making for a really good sounding tablet.

Buying from Samsung

You can buy the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 from Samsung for any of the US carriers. And the prices are the same as at the carriers. So the major benefit here is if you have Samsung Pay points you want to use for your purchase. As they likely won’t work with the carrier’s billing systems.

Samsung has the Verizon variant for $279. T-Mobile is running for $264, with Sprint at $259 and AT&T surprisingly being the cheapest at $239. That is not something you see everyday, normally AT&T is the most expensive, by a mile.

Buying from the carriers

You also have the option to buy the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 from the carriers. That includes AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. They are all the same prices, so the AT&T model is $239, Sprint is $259, T-Mobile is $264 and the Verizon model is $279. There really isn’t any advantage to buying it from the carriers versus Samsung. Unless you are on Verizon and have raked up some of those device dollars from Verizon UP to spend on a new device. Then it’s worth it to buy it from Verizon.
