Huawei Unveils FreeBuds 3i TWS Earphones With ANC & 10mm Drivers

Huawei has announced a new pair of TWS (Truly Wireless) earphones, the Huawei FreeBuds 3i. These earphones are here to succeed, or rather give users an alternative to the FreeBuds 3.

The Huawei FreeBuds 3, unlike the FreeBuds 3i, don’t have a silicone seal, they’re open-ear earbuds. That is not the only difference between them, but it’s the most important one.

The FreeBuds 3i are not open-ear earbuds like the FreeBuds 3

So, the Huawei FreeBuds 3i should offer more of a seal, and isolate way more noise than their predecessors. That silicone seal, plus the fact these earbuds offer ANC (Active Noise Cancelation) should make all the difference.

These earbuds come with two outward-facing mics, which are supposed to accurately detect ambient noise, and lower it by up to 32dB. They’re also supposed to reduce wind noise by 6m/s.

A third inward-facing microphone also receives the voice conducted inside your ears to further enhance sound quality, claims Huawei. As you can see, these earbuds are somewhat similar to FreeBuds 3 in terms of the design.

These earbuds automatically pair up with EMUI 10-based devices the moment you open up their case. They feature built-in capacitive sensors on both sides, so you can utilize double-tap control features.

When you take earbuds out of your ears, playback will pause, says Huawei. It will resume when you place them back in. This is something we’ve seen on FreeBuds 3 as well.

They include 10mm large dynamic drivers

These earbuds come with 10mm large dynamic drivers. Those will surely help with providing better bass, and make the sound quality better overall. These earbuds also offer highly sensitive polymer composite diaphragms that can deliver authentic and balanced audio, says Huawei.

Those silicone tips that we’ve mentioned earlier, they come in four different sizes. So you can find the right size for you, and ensure that the Huawei FreeBuds 3i stay in your ears.

The FreeBuds 3 are a one-size-fits-all type of earbuds. That is great for the vast majority of people, but for some people, they don’t fit. Well, that won’t be the case with the FreeBuds 3i.

These earbuds come in two color options, Huawei announced. They come in Carbon Black and Ceramic White options, which are essentially black and white colors.

The Huawei FreeBuds 3i are priced at £89.99 in the UK. The Ceramic White version will go on sale from the Huawei Store on May 20. Both color options will go on sale with selected retailers from June 17. That is also the date the Carbon Black will become available from the Huawei Store as well.
