The iQOO Z1 5G is now official, as the first phone with the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. That is a 64-bit octa-core processor that MediaTek announced quite recently.
This smartphone is made out of metal and glass, as you can see. It includes three cameras on the back, all three of which are vertically-aligned. Those cameras are placed in the top-left corner of the phone’s back.
iQOO’s logo is also included on the back of the phone, while the device offers really thin bezels. Its bottom bezel is slightly thicker than the rest of them. A display camera hole is included in the top-right corner fo the display.
The iQOO Z1 5G comes with a side-facing fingerprint scanner
The iQOO Z1 5G includes a side-facing fingerprint scanner. Right above that fingerprint scanner, you’ll notice volume up and down buttons. The fingerprint scanner doubles as a power / lock key, by the way.
The device features a 6.57-inch fullHD+ (2408 x 1080) LCD display with 20:9 aspect ratio. That is a 144Hz display, and it supports HDR10+ content. It’s a flat display, by the way.
The device packs in 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. There is also an 8GB RAM variant with 256GB of storage, and iQOO used the same RAM and storage for that model as well.
Android 10 comes pre-installed on the device, along with iQOO UI 1.0. The device includes two SIM card slots, and they’re both nano SIM compatible. A 3.5mm headphone jack is included, and the same goes for stereo speakers, and a smart PA.
A 4,500mAh battery is a part of this package, and it’s not removable. That battery supports 44W FlashCharge 2.0 fast charging. The device comes with 5G SA/NSA support, while it also includes Bluetooth 5.1 support.
The phone sports three cameras on the back
A 48-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX582 sensor, f/1.79 aperture, EIS) is placed on the back of the device. In addition to that, you’ll find an 8-megapixel camera (112-degree FoV, f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide camera back there, along with a 2-megapixel macro camera (f/2.4 aperture).
A single 16-megapixel camera (f/2.0) is included on the phone’s front side. The phone comes in Sky Blue, Blue Black, and Silver colors, while it got announced in China.
The iQOO Z1 5G’s pricing starts at CNY2,198 ($309), that is the price tag for a 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of storage. A variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs CNY2,498 ($351).
The most expensive model, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, will set you back CNY2,798 ($393). The phone will go on sale in China starting on June 1.
