Riot Games will be launching a very limited alpha test for League of Legends: Wild Rift next month.
This is according to the official League of Legends: Wild Rift Twitter account. While not addressing or announcing the alpha test in the tweet context directly, Riot posted a series of images in the tweet.
One of those images confirms that the alpha test will be happening sometime in June. Players should be aware though that this is indeed a very limited alpha test.
So limited in fact that it will only be available to players in the Philippines, and Brazil. There’s also no guarantee that living in those countries when the alpha test starts that you’ll get a spot.
Riot will share more info on the League of Legends: Wild Rift alpha test soon
With the alpha set to take place next month, anyone living in one of the two supported countries no doubt wants to know when you can register and when exactly the alpha test will begin.
Unfortunately Riot Games hasn’t confirmed any of those details yet. What it has confirmed is the regions for the alpha test, and that it will share more information on the test soon. Specifically, at the end of May.
If you’re someone who will be able to join the test, keep an eye on the Riot Games and League of Legends: Wild Rift Twitter and social pages. This is where Riot will post any relative details.
Such as when you can register to take part in the test, when the test starts, how long it will last etc. One thing to keep in mind is that device requirements for the test have been temporarily raised. Riot didn’t elaborate on this either.
So chances are that this will be included in the details it shares at the end of this month.
Minimum spec requirements for launch
While Riot didn’t share exact details on the spec requirements for the alpha test, it does highlight what the minimum spec requirements should be for the launch of the game.
These could always change though, as there’s a lot of time still between now and the game’s release, which is more than likely happening in late 2020.
In the meantime, the minimum spec requirements that Riot is hoping to support for the game start at 1.5GB of RAM, at least a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, and an Adreno 306 GPU. It’s also likely that the game will support equivalents of those specs and above.
