Motorola launches its most affordable smartphones under the Moto E series. The company is yet to announce the successor to last year’s Moto E6 smartphone. While there is no official word from the company, the Moto E7 is now listed on the Google Play Console database, and its key specifications leaked thanks to that.
Moto E7 key specifications leaked
As per the listing, the upcoming Moto E7 with the codename “Ginna” will be running on Android 10 out of the box. Unlike other affordable smartphones on the market, the Moto E7 should offer a close to stock Android experience.
It also sports a HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Unlike the Moto E6 which came with thick bezels on the top and bottom of the display, the Moto E7 might offer a teardrop notch display.
However, it won’t be offering the same bezel-less experience as the premium smartphone with the teardrop notch. The device sports a 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 Mobile Platform, similar to the one found on the Moto G7.
While the Snapdragon 632 features a custom Kryo 250 CPU, the Google Play Console listing mentions the CPU as Kryo 260 CPU. It’s a bit confusing and the exact specifications will be known when the device gets officially unveiled.
The device comes with just 2GB of RAM
While it comes with a mere 2GB of RAM, the company might also introduce the 3GB RAM variant as well.
As of now, there is no other information available about this device. A couple of months ago, the company launched the Moto E6s as an upgrade to the original Moto E6.
It came with a 6.1-inch teardrop notch display with an HD+ resolution. It is powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core SoC with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
Considering the expected budget price tag, the company could probably continue using the plastic design. Earlier leaked images hint the device will come with a large circular camera module on the rear featuring dual cameras and LED flash.
Below the camera module is the Moto dimple which also houses the fingerprint scanner. The Moto E7 will be dual SIM compatible and offer 4G VoLTE connectivity.
The device should feature a USB Type-C port for charging and it will be super handy to see 15W Turbo Charge support as well.
While the company launched the Moto E6 Plus alongside the Moto E6 in 2019, there is no news about the Moto E7 Plus. Apart from the new Moto E smartphone, Motorola will likely unveil a new Motorola One smartphone in the coming weeks.
