Samsung has launched a new, Aura Blue color variant of the Galaxy Buds+. The new variants are now available to purchase from Best Buy in the US at the original price of $149.99.
The Aura Blue Galaxy Buds+ were initially spotted in Samsung’s SmartThings app late last month. This variant only gets a new paint job on the outside. The overall design and internal components remain the same as other Galaxy Buds+ color variants.
Samsung launched its latest truly wireless earbuds alongside the Galaxy S20 series earlier this year. An upgrade to last year’s Galaxy Buds, the new Buds+ first came in Cosmic Black, Cloud Blue (light blue), and white colors. Samsung later added pink and red variants as well, taking the total color options to five, although not all color variants are available everywhere.
The company is now adding one more color variant. The new color is a much darker shade of blue compared to the original Cloud Blue version. Interestingly, Samsung also recently launched an Aura Blue version of the Galaxy S20+. The new Galaxy Buds+ variant would go really well with it. Last year’s Galaxy Note 10+ also comes in Aura Blue color.
Note that the Thom Browne Edition Galaxy Z Flip also bundles a pair of Galaxy Buds+ as well as the Galaxy Watch Active 2 in an exclusive paint job. This color variant is not available to buy separately.
Galaxy Buds+ get Aura Blue color variant
Samsung’s Galaxy Buds+ are among the best TWS earbuds available in the current market. They feature 2-way dynamic speakers (1 woofer + 1 tweeter) and three microphones each, delivering a crisp audio experience. The audio is tuned by AKG, a subsidiary of Samsung-owned Harman International.
The Buds+ offer up to 22 hours of playback time and support AAC codec. They come with IPX2 splash resistance, USB Type-C support, as well as support for Qi wireless charging. The buds are compatible with both Android and iOS devices and feature Swift Pair for Windows 10 devices.
The Aura Blue Galaxy Buds+ are exclusive to Best Buy at launch. The earbuds should be available from more retailers, including Samsung’s own online store, in the coming days. We could also see the company release them in several other markets over the next few weeks.
Samsung is also working on a new pair of TWS earbuds, tentatively called Galaxy BudsX. These buds are expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Fold 2 later this year.
