If you’ve ever wondered how a quality testing process for a rugged phone looks like, Ulefone filmed it for its Armor X7 smartphone. The company uploaded the footage on YouTube, and that video is embedded down below.
The Ulefone Armor X7 quality testing includes several different tests
The whole video is almost two minutes long, and it gives you a good idea of how the process looks like. First, the company conducted a drop test using a machine. The second test was a waterproof test, as the Armor X7 was left in a tank of water for a while.
The low-temperature test is also a part of Ulefone’s testing. The Armor X7 was tested on -20 degrees Celsius. The phone did well in a dust test as well, proving it is dust-proof.
Ulefone’s test also included a machine called the “roller dropping test machine”, which tumbles the phone around, as you can see in the video. The Armor X7 did well in that test as well.
It is worth noting that the Ulefone X7 is both IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810G certified. So, not only is it waterproof and dustproof, but it can also be dropped from a certain height without a problem.
The Ulefone Armor X7 did really well in the company’s quality testing process. This is something every rugged phone from Ulefone goes through, though not every phone in general.
The Ulefone Armor X7 is a budget phone, in addition to being a rugged device. This phone comes with two cameras on the back, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It also has a custom key on the side, that is customizable.
The phone uses its front-facing camera to scan your face, and it comes with Android 10 out of the box. The device does include an NFC chip, and supports Google Pay.
The phone features the Helio A20 SoC, 4,000mAh battery, and more
The Armor X7 features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display, while it includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The phone is fueled by the MediaTek Helio A20 quad-core processor.
A 13-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture) is included on the back of the phone, while a single 5-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture) sits on the device’s front side. Ulefone says that this phone can even take photos and video content underwater.
A 4,000mAh battery is included in the package, and it supports 5W wired charging. That battery can be used for quite some time before it dies, this phone offers compelling battery life, that’s for sure.
There are two nano SIM card slots included inside of this phone. The device supports 4G LTE connectivity, and it comes with Bluetooth 5.0. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included, along with a micro USB port. The device is currently on sale over on AliExpress. A purchase link is included down below.
