One ticket purchase will also get you access for the entire weekend. during past Pokémon Go Fest events, people would have to purchase tickets for one day or the other. Or purchase a ticket for each day if they wanted to attend both days.

But this isn’t the case this year. As Niantic wanted more players to be able to participate.

Pokémon GO Fest 2020 tickets are purchasable from the in-game shop

Tickets for the event went on sale yesterday, June 15, so many players may already be aware of how to get a hold of them.

If somehow you missed it, all you need to do is boot up the game and enter the shop. There will be an image for Pokémon GO Fest 2020, which you tap, then tap the buy button that you see.

This will purchase your tickets and they will be placed in your item bag for use once the event begins. Pokémon Go Fest 2020 takes place on July 25 and July 26, with content beginning at 10AM local time and ending 8PM local time on both days.

There will also be weekly challenges and medals for players before the event actually starts on the first day.

Earn medals and complete challenges leading up to the event

Niantic will send out medals to ticket holders a few days before the event starts. So look out for those when you boot up the game that week.

Players should probably expect those medals to pop up sometime around July 22-23. There’s also a precedent for opening the game often before then and interacting with content. Because there will be challenges to complete leading up to the event.

To be exact there will be three weeks of challenges to complete. On top of that these will be open to all players of Pokémon GO. And not just those who have purchased tickets for the event next month.

If you’ll be participating in Pokémon Go Fest 2020, make sure to open the game and play both days as there will be special research stories set for each day. In addition to those, there will be global arena activities on day one.

Day two will be a complete surprise and Niantic would not share what’s happening. It did say though that the experience will be “very different,” and that players should be excited.
