The Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ will feature a 19.3:9 display aspect ratio, it seems. This information surfaced online, as part of the HTML5 test. The phone appeared under the SM-N986U model number.
The HTML5 shows a display resolution of 3096 x 1444, which matches the one reported by analysts. What is strange, though, is that aspect ratio.
That 19.3:9 aspect ratio is taller than the 19.9 one utilized by the Galaxy Note 10 and S10 devices. It’s not as tall as the one brought forth by the Galaxy S20 phones, though.
The Galaxy Note 20 & Note 20+ will offer the same display aspect ratio
It is also worth noting that the Galaxy Note 20 will offer the same display aspect ratio. The Galaxy Note 20 will not ship with a QHD+ display, though, but a fullHD+ panel.
Do note that the Galaxy Note 20+ will feature a taller display than the Galaxy Note 10+. It will be larger at 6.87 inches, plus that display aspect ratio will contribute to its tallness as well. It will be 2mm taller.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20+ will arrive in August, most probably. Samsung still did not confirm the time of its second Unpacked event of the year, but rumors have mentioned August 5.
The company will host an online-only launch event, and probably announce five high-end smartphones. The company is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 20, Note 20+, Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Fold 2, and Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
All of those devices will be flagship-grade, which will make this a huge event for the company. The Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ are also coming, but probably not during the same event.
Those two tablets will become official either before that event, or during IFA in September. In any case, five flagship phones are more than enough.
The difference between the two devices will be substantial
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will, of course, be the most powerful Galaxy Note 20 series device. The Galaxy Note 20 will be inferior to the Galaxy Note 20+, and it seems like the difference will be substantial.
The Galaxy Note 20 is rumored to include a 60Hz fullHD+ LTPS display. The Galaxy Note 20+, on the other hand, will sport a 120Hz QHD+ LTPO display, quite probably. The same goes for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
All three of those phones will include an S Pen stylus. The Galaxy Fold 2 will not, however, at least not according to the latest info that surfaced. The Galaxy Fold 2 will have display limitations, and won’t be able to take full advantage of the S Pen, hence the omission.
