Motorola One Fusion+ Launched With 16MP Pop-up Camera

A couple of days back, Motorola launched the affordable Moto G Fast and Moto E smartphones for under $200. Now, the company has unveiled a new smartphone under the Motorola One series called the Motorola One Fusion+. In a way, it is a kind of successor to last year’s Motorola One Hyper.

From the front, both the One Hyper and One Fusion+ look exactly the same with their full view displays. The Motorola One Fusion+ comes with a pop-up camera that houses the front-facing camera. It sports a glossy finish polycarbonate body and will be available in Moonlight White and Twilight Blue color options.

Motorola One Fusion+ Full Specifications

On the front is a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with no notch or punch-hole cutout. It offers Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution with a pixel density of 395 PPI and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display is also HDR10 certified, which means the compatible content on Netflix and Prime Video will be more vibrant and brighter.

It is powered by the 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 470 CPU and Adreno 618 GPU. The Motorola One Fusion+ will be available only in the 6GB + 128GB storage option. However, it supports storage expansion using the hybrid SIM card slot.

While the One Hyper only comes with two cameras on the rear, the newly launched One Fusion+ sports quad rear cameras. It includes a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. Interestingly, the ultra-wide and macro sensors also support RAW photography.

Comes with a dedicated button for Google Assistant

The pop-up camera on the top is equipped with a 16MP sensor. While the rear cameras supports 4K video recording, it is limited to Full HD resolution with the front camera. On the rear, the Moto dimple comes with an integrated fingerprint scanner. The dedicated Google Assistant button along with the power button and volume rocker are located on the right edge. Notably, the buttons look a bit small and cramped on the right side.

The 5000mAh battery on this device is rated to give 2 days of battery life. Additionally, it supports 15W TurboPower charging technology. The One Fusion+ runs on Android 10 out of the box and includes My UX which adds more customization settings to the stock Android experience.

It is also a bit on the thicker side by measuring 9.6 mm in thickness and weighs a chunky 199 grams. There is no NFC but comes with the 3.5mm headphone jack and FM Radio receiver. The device is also splash resistant, thanks to the P2i coating.

The Motorola One Fusion+ will be available in Europe for €300 (approx. $339). As of now, there’s no word on a US launch date. There’s also no mention of the rumored Motorola One Fusion smartphone.
