OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G Is Official With 90Hz Display, SD765G & 12GB Of RAM

OPPO has announced two new smartphones, the Reno4 and Reno4 Pro 5G. The Pro 5G model is the more powerful one, and more interesting out of the two, but both have plenty to offer, and both support 5G.

The two phones are quite similar in terms of the design, though the ‘Pro’ model looks sleeker. Both devices are made out of metal and glass, and both feature four cameras on the back.

Both devices have thin bezels, but the ones on the ‘Pro’ model are thinner. The ‘chin’ on the Reno4 is quite obvious, and thicker than the rest of its bezels. The ‘Pro’ unit also packs in a curved display, while the regular one does not.

The OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G sports a curved back, while the one on the Reno4 is flat. Both devices include a display camera hole, but the one on the ‘Pro’ model is smaller, as it hosts a single camera. The Reno4 sports a pill-shaped display camera hole.

The OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G features a 6.55-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) AMOLED display with 90Hz. That display is curved, and it is protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass 5.

The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 765G 64-bit octa-core processor from Qualcomm, and it supports 5G connectivity. The phone comes in two variants, the more affordable model includes 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.

The more expensive variant sports 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage. Android 10 comes pre-installed on the device, along with ColorOS 7.2. The phone also offers two SIM card slots.

A 4,000mAh battery is included inside of this phone, along with Bluetooth 5.1. 65W fast wired charging (SuperVOOC 2.0) is included here as well. The device has two linear speakers, and includes an in-display fingerprint scanner.

A 48-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX586 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, OIS) is backed by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera (SOny’s IMX708 sensor, 120-degree FoV, f/2.2 aperture). A 13-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.4 aperture, 5x hybrid zoom, 20x digital zoom, laser autofocus) is also included on the back.

A single 32-megapixel camera sits on the front side of this phone. The device measures 159.6 x 72.5 x 7.6mm, and weighs 172 grams. The phone comes in Diamond Blue, Diamond Red, Mirro Black, Titanium Blank, and Green Glitter. Its pricing starts at CNY3,799 ($532) in China.

OPPO Reno4 5G

The OPPO Reno4 5G comes with the same processor, and the same software as its sibling. The phone also includes the same main camera, and the same selfie camera. An in-display fingerprint scanner is included inside of this phone as well, with the same 65W fast charging.

The rest of its specs are different, though. The OPPO Reno4 5G features a 6.43-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) 90Hz AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass protection.

The phone packs in 8GB of LDPDR4X RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage. Two SIM card slots are included inside of this device as well.

In addition to a 48-megapixel main camera, the device includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera (119-degree FoV, f/2.2 aperture), and a 2-megapixel mono camera (f/2.4 aperture, laser autofocus).

The device includes Bluetooth 5, NFC, and a Type-C USB port on the bottom, the same as its sibling. Its battery pack is a bit larger than the one on the ‘Pro’ model, just a little bit, though. It includes a 4,020mAh battery pack. The device measures 159.3 x 74 x 7.8mm, and weighs 183 grams.

This phone comes in Diamond Blue, Mirror Black, and Taro Purple color options. Its pricing starts at CNY2,999 ($422) in China, in case you’re wondering. We still do not know if these phones will make it to other markets.
