A new report has surfaced in Korea, seemingly sharing the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 camera specs. That’s not all, though, this report also mentions charging details, and more.
This info appeared in a report by ET News, a Korean publication. It claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will include two 12-megapixel cameras, one 64-megapixel unit.
SamChun, a tipster, added that on top of those three, the ToF sensor will also be included. That would basically mean that the camera setup will be the same as on the Galaxy S20+, which would not be surprising.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 camera specs shed more light on the upcoming device
In any case, one of those 12-megapixel cameras will be the phone’s main camera sensor. The other one will be an ultrawide one, while a 64-megapixel unit is a telephoto camera.
In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold camera specs, the report also mentions some display and charging information. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is said to feature a 7.7-inch 120Hz display on the inside.
It also mentions that the display on the outside will be 6.23 inches, which goes hand-in-hand with previous leaks. The source also mentions that the device will support 15W wireless charging, and that sounds about right.
A side-facing fingerprint scanner is also mentioned. That solution makes more sense than an in-display fingerprint scanner. Why? Because there are two displays on this phone, and utilizing a side-facing unit is cheaper than including two in-display fingerprint scanners. On top of that, it saves space.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 was rumored to launch alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series on August 5. That will not happen, it seems, at least if Max Weinbach is to be believed.
Mr. Weinbach is a well-known tipster, and he believes that the device will launch at a later date. Samsung may mention it during the press conference, and even tease it, but the full launch will not occur.
The device may launch in September
The company may announce when the device will launch, though. Mr. Weinbach is expected a September launch, with an October release date for the device. We’ll see if that is accurate or not.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be a direct successor to the Galaxy Fold which launch last year. The device will look much better than its predecessor, and it will also be more powerful.
One major addition to this new model is the UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) display, which was included on the Galaxy Z Flip as well. If you’d like to know more about the Galaxy Z Fold 2, click here.
