Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Tab S7 Android tablets at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5. The design of the new flagship Galaxy tablet has already been revealed through CAD renders. Today, the key specs of the Galaxy Tab S7+ were leaked online.
As seen on the Galaxy Tab S6, the S Pen will magnetically clip back into the groove on the back of the Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet. While the S Pen is mentioned to come with Bluetooth connectivity for using it as a remote control, there is no confirmation on the gesture support.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ Leaked Specifications
The Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ will be coming with 11-inch and 12.4-inch displays respectively. As per the leaks, the AMOLED display on the Plus monicker will offer 2800 by 1752 pixels resolution. We should also be seeing the in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Powering the tablet is the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+. Compared to the Snapdragon 865, the Plus variant offers a 10 percent improvement in both CPU and GPU performance. The Snapdragon 865+ is also the first mobile SoC to offer a clock speed of more than 3GHz.
The Galaxy Tab S7+ with 6GB or 8GB of RAM will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. According to SamMobile, it will also include a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of the storage. As usual, Samsung will be launching these new tablets in both Wi-Fi and cellular variants.
These flagship tablets might support up to 15W fast charging
However, the 5G variant of the Galaxy Tab S7+ will be missing support for the mmWave spectrum. At the time of its launch, the company would only launch a Sub-6GHz supported variant. Therefore, the cellular Galaxy Tab S7+ won’t work on carriers like Verizon, which uses the mmWave spectrum for 5G.
As for the cameras, there will be a 13MP + 5MP dual-camera setup on the rear and a single 8MP camera on the front. Just like the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 series, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ will be running on the new One UI 2.5 out of the box.
Finally, it has a 10,090mAh battery, which should provide a day-long battery life. Sadly, the company is likely going to stick with 15W fast charging technology. Along with the new Galaxy Tab S7 tablets, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and Galaxy Watch 3 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event.
