Mobvoi has just released its latest audio product, a pair of ANC headphones called the TicKasa ANC Headphones, and you just might want a pair.
Typically, ANC-powered headphones are expensive. Or at least more expensive than what Mobvoi is charging for this particular pair. But that isn’t the case with the TicKasa. Making them an even better value if you want a pair of headphones that sound good in addition to looking good.
These are over-ear headphones so even without the ANC technology they would likely provide decent noise isolation. Luckily Mobvoi didn’t compromise and you don’t have to either.
The Mobvoi TicKasa ANC Headphones retail for just $130
Compared to something like the Sony WH-1000XM3, the TicKasa are a bargain. Sony’s well-known ANC headphones are down to $280 right now. But they use to cost about $350.
So before the price drop they were $220 more than the TicKasa. Even with the price drop you’re still saving $150. In addition to the much lower price point than many pairs of ANC headphones, the TicKasa also come with pretty good battery life.
Mobvoi says they’ll last up to 30 hours on a single charge. If you need more than that the battery should charge up quickly. Charge time is listed at four hours from empty to full. So if you only have around an hour to charge them you should have about 25-percent of the battery life, which is about 7.5 hours.
The TicKasa come with swivel earcups too. This is a pretty standard build feature of many wireless headphones. As people tend to use them for travel and the swivel earcups are designed for easy storage. If you take your headphones with you wherever you go, this will make it easy to stuff it in your bag when not in use.
Bluetooth 5.0 and cVc noise cancellation make for clear calls
As with any pair of Bluetooth headphones these days you can use these for voice calls too.
They’re built with cVc noise cancellation technology which is designed to help your voice come across as clear as possible to the person on the other end. With Bluetooth 5.0 the transmission distance is also about 50 feet.
So if you’re walking around the house and your phone isn’t on your person, you’ll have some range before audio starts to become less clear.
Mobvoi is selling the TicKasa in black and silver, and both can be picked up on Amazon or through Mobvoi’s website.
