The Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 5G will be available in only 9 countries later this year, it seems. That is highlighted on select teaser pages of the two devices.
For comparison’s sake, the Google Pixel 4a is coming to 13 countries. That being said, you’re probably interested in what countries the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 5G are coming.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G & Pixel 5 will launch in only these 9 countries
Here’s a list of those countries: Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the US. You’ll notice that those are the same countries that the Pixel 4a is available in, but several are missing from the list.
India, Italy, Singapore, and Spain are not included here. It seems like the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 5G won’t make their way to those four countries. India is the second-largest smartphone market in the world, so that’s a rather odd decision by Google.
More affordable devices do sell much better in India, though, so that’s probably the reason the company opted for this move. The Pixel 4a is priced at $349, while the Pixel 4a 5G will cost $499. The Pixel 5 5G will be even more expensive than that
Things may change in time, though. This may be the launch markets for the two phones, but Google may opt to ship them to more markets later on, we’ll see.

The Google Pixel 5 will be smaller than the Pixel 4a 5G
The Pixel 4a 5G is essentially the cancelled Pixel 4 XL. Google opted to go with a different name, it seems. This will be the larger variant of the Pixel 4a, with more cameras on the back, at least based on what we’ve seen thus far.
The Google Pixel 5 5G, on the other hand, will be made out of metal and glass, it seems. It will be larger than the Pixel 4a, and smaller than the Pixel 4a 5G. That is what a recent teaser suggests, at least.
The Google Pixel 5 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 765G, if rumors are to be believed. Google has no plans to utilize the Snapdragon 865 or 865 Plus this year. That hasn’t been confirmed yet, though.
