Google Pixel 4a 5G May Cost Considerably More Than The Pixel 4a

The Google Pixel 4a 5G may cost quite a bit more than its sibling, the Pixel 4a. The Google Pixel 4a is expected to arrive later today. The Pixel 4a 5G, on the other hand, will likely launch in October alongside the Pixel 5 5G.

Ishan Agarwal, a well-known tipster, shared a possible price tag for the Pixel 4a 5G. The tipster claims that the phone will cost $499, and he also thinks that it will launch alongside the Pixel 5.

The Google Pixel 4a 5G will cost more than the Pixel 4a, quite a bit more

The tipster did not mention October as the launch month, though, he only said ‘fall launch’. In any case, for comparison’s sake, the Pixel 4a is expected to cost $349, at least its base model is.

The Pixel 4a 5G is expected to be a bit larger than the Pixel 4a. That phone will essentially be the cancelled Pixel 4 XL, with 5G connectivity, it seems.

The device will ship with a larger display, and a larger battery than the Pixel 4a, alongside 5G connectivity. It will also include a different chip because of 5G connectivity, it seems.

We’re still not sure what chip will Google use, but it will be one of Qualcomm’s mid-range offerings. Other than that, the phone will be quite similar to the Pixel 4a, it seems.

It will include a display camera hole in the top-left corner. It will be made out of polycarbonate, with a fingerprint scanner being located on the back. Its power / lock key will be colored.

The phone is expected to include a fullHD+ display, and that display will be at least 6 inches in diagonal. We’re looking at a 60Hz display here, by the way, unless something changes drastically.

The Pixel 4a XL will essentially be a cheaper alternative to the Pixel 5 5G. The Pixel 5 5G did leak earlier today, alongside the Pixel 4a 5G. That device will be a bit smaller than the Pixel 4a 5G.

The device will offer a brushed aluminum frame, smaller body

It will also offer a brushed aluminum frame, compared to polycarbonate on the Pixel 4a. Both phones will feature a camera module that protrudes on the back, though.

The Pixel 4a 5G may also offer a bit different camera setup on the back compared to the Pixel 4a. We’re only guessing here, based on the size of its rear camera module. We’ll see what will happen.

We’re still not sure if Google plans to release the Pixel 5 XL 5G, but for the time being, the Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and Pixel 5 5G are the only rumored phones from the company.
